Jennifer Aniston?I just don?t get her. I never particularly loved her in Friends and have yet to see her in a movie where I find her believable in any way.
In this film she is without doubt the single weakest link and definitely the reason why the film doesn?t work. This is Jennifer, post-Brad, going for the darker, bad-girl role?it just doesn?t work, I didn?t believe her and the way she played the role of a victimized victimizer clued me into the ?twist? in the story after about five minutes.
Clive Owen turns in another solid performance as a man who gives in to temptation and finds his world suddenly falling apart?but it is not enough to save what is basically a generic, formulaic and unsatisfying film.
