How does a movie this manipulative, exploitive, and stupid get so much attention? It will probably make a load of money and that is a shame.
Matthew McConnaughey, riding high on his People magaizine, Sexiest Man Alive title, plays some nice guy who still lives at home with his parents even though he is 35. His parents hire Sarah Jessica Parker to play his girlfriend to get him out of the house, it all goes horribly worng, but ends happily ever after - aaaarrgh!!!!!
McConnaughey is rubbish, too cocky, too smooth--SJP seems a little old for the part and I don't mean to sound mean-spirited but she is not some earlt twenties ingenue, sh's a mature woman and it seemd like a stretch and a waste of her time to take this role. I cannot say how much I resented this film, it was a complete waste of time.
